ABOUT US
Push-Up Bra LA began on March 8, 2020, with a sold-out live music showcase featuring an all-women lineup. Since then, we’ve grown into a nonprofit dedicated to creating innovative, empowering, and educational experiences for women in music. Our mission is to champion gender equality while increasing visibility and paid opportunities for women through initiatives like all-women songwriting camps, live showcases, workshops for teen girls, networking events, and more.
Over the past six years, Push-Up Bra LA has:
• Showcased 45 femme artists across 12 live music events
• Generated a catalog of 60+ hit-worthy songs through our all-women songwriting camps
• Connected more than 2,000 women through our events, building a community that celebrates one another’s success
• Brought inspiring workshops and music programming to the teen girls of Altadena Girls, helping them explore their creativity and learn how to build a career in a male-dominated industry
After ten years in the music industry, I became painfully aware of how rarely women are given the respect, opportunities, and compensation they deserve. Push-Up Bra LA was born from a desire to change that - to create spaces where women are paid well, championed, connected, and inspired. My hope is that everyone who joins our writing camps, showcases, or events walks away feeling genuinely seen and appreciated, and holds onto that feeling as they continue their careers.
